Hill Country Firefighter Burn Fund was created by Central Texas firefighters to secure the future of pediatric and teen burn camps in the Texas Hill Country.

After volunteering as counselors at burn camps for the past five years, several Central Texas firefighters wanted to do more. They saw first-hand how life-changing these camps are for children and strive to ensure all burn survivors have the opportunity to attend camps to build their community.

In addition to raising funds for multiple camps, HCFBF partners with Texas Burn Survivor Society every fall to host “Camp Ax” in Austin, TX. The camp offers a weekend of support, camaraderie, and fun to young adults from across the state.

Burn camps provide an opportunity for burn survivors to come from across the state to join others who have had similar experiences. Through these camps, burn survivors are able to build a support network that will benefit them throughout their entire lives.
